Myrna Lee Graf, 73, went home to be with our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, on Thursday, Jan. 2, 2014, at the Village Health Care Center.
On Aug. 4, 1940, she was born in Miles City to Claudia and Wesley Lausch, the first of seven children. She grew up in rural eastern Montana surrounded by an immense extended family. Times of faith, fun and love. Her formal education was completed at Plevna High School.
During a blizzard on Jan. 20, 1960, she married Walt Graf. After living in Ekalaka, Billings and Bozeman, the family moved to Alberton in 1975.
Myrna read her Bible every day and prayed without ceasing. Hers was a faith continually followed. She was active in children's ministries from Sunday school to vacation Bible school. She preferred her flowers to have roots, loved gardening and was a skilled seamstress.
Survivors include her devoted husband of nearly 54 years, Walt; three sons, Shannon (Anita), Shane (Jennifer) and Sheldon (Tamra); nine grandkids, Krista, Kort, Michael, Cassie, Kelsey, Jessica, Jalissa, Jezreel and Brittany; several great-grandchildren; her siblings, Brenda Nixon, Lana Estep, Doug (Libby) Lausch, Val (Gail) Lausch and Jade Lausch; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Mryna's life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 11, at Frenchtown Community Church. Reception to follow
