Mikel Horne

Late December of 2021, Mikel Bruce Horne passed away at his residence in Missoula, MT.

Mikel was born to James Jay and Marion Horne on April 5, 1965 in Townsend, Montana. He was the fourth of six children.

In his early years Mikel had two children, Kasey Horne and Shannon Horne-Wilkens. As his life progressed, Mikel was blessed with three additional children, Kathryn Barnes (Horne), James Horne and Taylor Horne.

Mikel was a private man who enjoyed embracing the out doors and the ranch life. He was hard working and tough as they came which is easily identified through his children and would always be willing to share a cold drink at the end of the day.

Mikel worked for VECI for 15 years and had the opportunity to have his two younger sons work beside him.

He is survived by his mother Marion Horne, his siblings Chip (Linda) Horne, Beth Horne, Connie (Pat) Schneiderhan, and Laura Horne, his children Kasey (Stephanie) Horne, Shannon (Mike) Horne-Wilkens, Kathryn (Ryan) Barnes, James (Brenna) Horne, Taylor Horne and 8 grand children.

Mikel was preceded in death by his father James Jay Horne and his brother James Allen Horne.
