Michael Anthony "Mike" Piane, 30, joined the Communion of Saints on Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2016. He courageously suffered from a chronic illness and now he is at peace. He will always be remembered for his gentle and kind spirit.
Mike was born March 21, 1986, in Missoula. He attended Loyola Sacred Heart and graduated from Big Sky High School. He avidly devoted himself to family and friends. Mike took a special interest in his Lebanese heritage, learning to cook Mediterranean fare with his grandmother. He also loved the outdoors and recreational shooting.
There are no words to explain his family’s deep sorrow. He is survived by his parents Roger and Yvonne Piane and his brother Brandon Piane (Callisa); maternal grandparents Floyd and Rebecca Fowler; several aunts and uncles, numerous cousins, and the love of his life, Lynnsey Pfau.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Carmine and Berta Piane and his uncle Marvin Fowler.
The rosary prayer service and funeral mass will be celebrated Saturday, Nov. 5 at 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. respectively at Saint Anthony Catholic Parish, 217 Tremont St. in Missoula with a reception to follow at the parish center. Memories and condolences can be shared online at gardencityfh.com.
