Michael Alfred "Mickey" "Swede" Hansen, 73, passed away of natural causes at Community Medical Center on Sun. Nov. 17th. Mickey was born on Jan. 16, 1940 in Missoula to Hubert and Frances Hansen.
He was married to Deloris Ione Chole from 1961 – 1971 and is survived by his children: Kelly F. Hansen, Joe A. Hansen and Jennifer D. Hansen; his step children, Heidi Hansen-LaForde and Holly Hansen-Rapinski; his grandchildren, Chantal Hansen-Fuller, Cody Hansen, Montana Hansen, Taylor Stevens, Keeray Hansen, Kahleb Rupinski, Tawney Hansen, and Kyler Rupinski; his great grand child Zekharya Hansen; his sister E. Louise Kolppa and his nephews Bryan and Eric Kolppa. He was preceded in death by his long term partner Leona Fischer. Mickey or Swede as he was also known by was a Navy Veteran who served from 1957 to 1961.
Mickey/Swede lived a full life, with many personas over the years. He was generous and kind, gruff and crusty. He was a complete contradiction in terms. He will be sorely missed, always loved and fondly remembered with every smile.
A memorial service will be postponed until February when all his family can be present.
