MISSOULA ~ Mercy Parinio Sampang Keith, 46, of Missoula, passed away unexpectedly on June 16, 2020 at St. Patrick Hospital. She was with her husband and loved ones at the time of her passing.
She was born on August 21, 1973 in Angeles City, the Philippines, to Teofisto and Corazon Sampang. She spent her childhood in Angeles City with her family. As a young adult she pursued a career as a musician and singer, travelling to other countries throughout Asia to perform. While working in China she met Lance Keith in 2006. The couple soon fell in love and enjoyed recounting how the love first began over a bottle of tequila. They were married in 2012.
In 2015 they returned to Lance’s home of Strafford, New Hampshire, where Mercy worked as a Certified Nurse’s Aide. She quickly became a loved member of the Keith family of New Hampshire and Massachusetts. In New Hampshire their family grew with the addition of Boo, a Maltese Poodle mix of diminutive size yet considerable personality.
In September of 2018 they moved to Missoula, where Lance’s son was living. They loved Missoula and all the beauty of the Northern Rockies. Mercy quickly became a close friend to many within the community. She also was a vital part of family gatherings with Lance, his son, his son’s wife and their surrounding friends. She worked at Dillard’s as an expert Salesperson. Through all her travels she still maintained very close contact with her family in the Philippines.
Mercy had a vibrant and loving personality. She was an extremely talented dancer and singer. She put considerable emphasis on fitness and health. She loved watching sports with Lance and was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan. She placed care for others as a core value to her life.
