– Melanie Renae (Poor) Holsapple, 44, of Missoula, passed away on Friday, Oct. 23, 2015. Melanie passed away peacefully in her sleep after a long and difficult battle with multiple health issues.
She was born Nov. 1, 1970, to Norman and Eva Poor. Melanie and her family made their home in Thompson Falls, Deming, New Mexico, and Missoula. She received her high school diploma in 1989.
Dec. 9, 1989, she married Richard Holsapple in Missoula, where they were blessed with three beautiful children.
Friends and family were her life. Her heart and gift of sharing personified her character. When her health permitted she was a caregiver in home health and group homes.
She was delighted with her first grandchild and excited for the one she would see next spring.
Survivors include her children, Cassidy Holsapple, Jesse Holsapple and Jewelia Holsapple of Missoula; grandson Pacston Johnston; parents Norman and Eva Poor; brother Allen (Cathy) Poor; sister Tana (Chris) Paul; nieces, Trisa (Thaddeus) Pearson and Lexie Paul of Missoula; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Memorial service will be held Friday, Oct. 30, at 4 p.m. at Solid Rock Church, 2415 Arcadia Drive, Missoula. Reception following at Solid Rock Church.
