Mason Skerbeck approached life with a keen intensity, passion and generosity. Friends greatly benefited from his profound insight and advice, developed from an ability to unflinchingly acknowledge and address truths, no matter how uncomfortable. He loved his friends and family with a fierce loyalty and brought out the best in people. He loved reading, he loved music, and he loved internet memes, and was always eager to share the joy he got from these. Unashamed to be his own person, he was always genuine, whip-smart, and driven. He was excited and eager to meet whatever life threw his way. He lived each day with a vibrancy that makes it that much harder to accept his all-too-short life of 24 years came to an end after being struck by a vehicle while walking home from work.
Memorial gathering on Wednesday, Aug. 9, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Montana Club Bar, 4561 N. Reserve St.
