MaryAnn Shriner Peterson

MaryAnn Shriner Peterson passed away at the age of 71 on January 21, 2016 at 4:07am after a short but courageous battle with a severe internal infection.

She was born in Missoula, Montana on July 26, 1944. She was the only daughter of Robert (Shorty) and Mary Shriner. She attended Missoula County High School and was a member of Junior Riders.
MaryAnn married Dick Peterson February 2, 1962 and they had two daughters, Vicki and Bobbi Peterson. A few years after their divorce she moved to Portland, Oregon in efforts to be near her two daughters and grandchildren, BreAnna and Jamon Calixtro. MaryAnn was extremely close to her grandchildren as they were her pride and joy. She often participated in all of their school activities and spent a vast amount of time with them to show her immeasurable amount of love and support.
She retired in 2003 from her long career in Property Management. Not only was she an absolute pet lover but she enjoyed rodeos, horse races and the occasional trip to the casino!
In 2010 she moved to Newport, Washington along with her youngest daughter Bobbi until her passing.
She was survived by her two daughters; Vicki Alvarado of Vancouver WA and Bobbi Peterson of Newport WA. Her grandchildren; Jamon Calixtro (Ashley) of Vancouver WA and BreAnna Calixtro, BreAnna's fiancé Rocky Yun-Maes both of Fairview OR, and her great granddaughter Addyson Calixtro (Jamon's daughter), sister in law, Rita Ellis, of Tyler, Tex, nieces, Nita Nelson, of Tyler, Tex., and Becky Nelson, of Buena Park, Calif.

She is preceded in death by her father and mother.
She was loved by all, and will be greatly missed and never forgotten.
