Mary Ann Valgenti

Mary Ann Valgenti, 76, of Missoula, passed away on February 14th.
She was born to the late Tom and Margaret Craig on October 4, 1938 in Richmond Hill, New York. Mary Ann received a B.S. from St. Joseph's College in Brooklyn and an M.S. in Microbiology from the University of Montana. She married Victor F. Valgenti in 1964.
After her children were all of school age, Mary Ann worked briefly as a substitute teacher before going to work full-time as a legal secretary for her husband. Mary Ann was a long time active member of Blessed Trinity Church. She also loved reading and gardening.
Mary Ann is survived by her husband, and by her four children, Katie Valgenti of New York City, Helen (Rob) Grasseschi of Great Falls, Victor C. (Ikuko) Valgenti of Irvine, CA. and Matthew Valgenti (Matthew Helfrich) of Monroe, WA and five grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Tom (Lydia) Craig, her sister Helen (Ron) Hoefner, her sister Margaret (Scott) Lucchesi and twelve nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to either Habitat for Humanity-Missoula , or the Missoula Food Bank.
A viewing will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 20 at Blessed Trinity Church. A funeral Mass will occur at 11:30 a.m. to be followed immediately by a reception in the parish hall.
