Mary Jane "Janie" Stolp, of Missoula, returned home to the Lord on Monday, Sept. 29, 2014.
She was born in Chewelah, Washington, on June 3, 1930, to her loving parents Robert and Stella Schoenberg, also of Chewelah. Janie made her home in Missoula shortly after she married the love of her life, Larry Stolp, on Sept. 19, 1949, and they were married for 53 years until his death.
Janie worked for 24 years at the Western Montana Clinic. After her retirement, Janie enjoyed her family always around her. Janie always had a smile on her face and was so quick to laugh or make someone else laugh. Her faith was strong and so were her family ties. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandma. She was also a wonderful cook. Janie was quite the prankster and really enjoyed a good joke or two. She never forgot a joke. She loved life and her family and will be missed.
She is survived by her sisters, Merna Mires and Patty Perryman, both of Chewelah; and her daughters, Joyce Blatherwick, Bobette Boggess and Linda Wolfe, all of Missoula. She also leaves behind six grandsons, Michael Otto, Tyler Gillespie, David Stephens, Jesse Stephens, Zach Stephens and Kobe Wolfe.
A private memorial will be held with family.
