On December 21st 1935 Mary Pat was born in Billings, MT to Claude C. Jameson and Dorothy Quinn Jameson, making her true Montanan. At a young age she and her family moved to Missoula where she attended St Anthony’s grade school. She went on to attend Missoula County High School where made lifelong friends. She pursued a degree in Journalism from San Jose State University.
In 1969 Mary Pat moved back to her hometown with her two children, Dia and Jay. On a snowy, cold New Years Eve, Mary Pat went on a blind date with a man she had known from high school, Bob Small. The stars aligned that night, Mary Pat and Bob were married in March of 1970. The new Small family was actually not so small. Bob’s children; Becky, Bryan, and Brent joined Dia and Jay, with Amy being born to Bob and Mary Pat in 1972. And here began the crazy, fun, wild times of the Small Family.
Mary Pat was always up to something. Whether she was inviting everyone over to the family cabin at Big Sky Lake, bringing international students into her home, opening her store Party, you never really knew what she would be up to next. She and Bob traveled all around the world together, and spent many winters down in the desert. Her travels took her to Ireland, where she explored her heritage, gaining her dual citizenship in the country that held her heart.
Never doing anything halfway, she devoted much of her time to philanthropic groups such as Delta Gamma Fraternity and Philanthropic Education Organization (PEO). In these groups she was consistently recognized for her passion for service.
Family was the center of her world, she never missed a birthday, school function, or a chance to be together. She looked for any reason to bring our family together for a Mexican food feast.
Everyone has a story of our dear, sweet “Mimi”, most being hilarious. The practical jokester, one-liner, queen of all comebacks.
Mary Pat is survived by her six children and her beloved tea-cup yorkie, Roxy. She is survived

No ear has heard,
No mind has made,
What God has planned for those who love him.
