Mary Anne Rehbein, 76, of Arlee, Montana passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, February 25, 2016 after a yearlong battle with multiple myeloma.
Mary Anne was born in St. Paul and grew up in Hugo, Minnesota, the oldest of five children. She attended White Bear Lake High School. She married Marvin Rehbein in 1956 and they raised seven children in Forest Lake, MN until 1975, when they moved to Plains, MT. A loving wife, mother and grandmother, Mary Anne was devoted to her family and the Catholic Church.
Mary Anne was preceded in death by her parents, Dorothy and Mark Houle, and her Great-Granddaughter, Myra. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Marvin Rehbein, and their seven children: Marvin & Connie Rehbein, Rita Rehbein & Edward Mai, Doug & Annette Rehbein, Dwayne & Ann Rehbein, Dean & Tana Rehbein, Dennis & Marty Rehbein, and Mary Jo & Douglas Jackson, along with 26 Grandchildren and 11 Great-Grandchildren. Mary Anne is also survived by her three sisters: Eileen, Margaret and Therese, and her brother James.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 28th at Garden City Funeral Home in Missoula from 5:00-7:00 pm with a Rosary starting at 7:00 pm. A funeral Mass celebrating Mary Anne's life will be held on Monday, February 29th at 1:30 pm at the St. Ignatius Mission with a reception to follow at the church social hall. At her request, the family will have a private burial service at the cemetery in Plains, MT.
