Marsolee Joy (Nunnally) Froehlich passed away from natural causes on Tuesday September. 17, 2019. She was surrounded by tremendous love and compassion during the time of her passing.
The youngest of three children, Marsolee was born in Polson, MT on October 16, 1934 to Angela (Jewell) and Ray Lewis Nunnally.
Marsolee always knew she wanted to be a nurse so in 1952, she enrolled in the School of Nursing program at St. Patrick Hospital in Missoula, MT. After three years of hard work and dedication, she reached her goal and became a licensed Registered Nurse.
While in nursing school, she met the love of her life, Fred Froehlich. They were married on April 21, 1956 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. Fred and Marsolee raised six daughters - Janel, Theresa, Stacey, Anita, Dena and Bethany - during their 62 years of marriage. They were blessed with fourteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. They relished in the time they spent with their family and friends. They were devout members of the Cathedral of St Helena Parish and spent countless hours volunteering their time to the church community. In the fall of 2013, Marsolee and Fred returned to Missoula to be closer to family.
Marsolee enjoyed traveling, camping, boating and seeing her grandchildren. She was very supportive of all of her children and grandchildren; she was their biggest fan. Marsolee and Fred traveled near and far to watch their grandchildren play different sports, including baseball, basketball, soccer, volleyball, cross country, swimming and gymnastics. Marsolee was devoted to caring for Fred after he was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease. She was his primary caregiver and advocate as his disease progressed. Marsolee was heartbroken after Fred’s passing. Her family finds comfort in knowing that they are together again.
Marsolee is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, husband and grandson, DJ Anderson. She is survived by her six daughters and their families, as well as many extended family members. Marsolee will be dearly missed, but the memory of her character and goodwill lives on in all those who knew her.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, September 27, 2019 at Saint Francis Xavier Church in Missoula. Reception to follow in Reidy Hall. Interment service to take place at Western Montana State Veterans Cemetery. To leave condolences and view a full obituary visit gardencityfh.com.
