Marlys L. Englund, 88 of Missoula passed away Monday Jan 21, 2013 at Community Medical Center after a short, but courageous battle with cancer.
She was born April 10, 1924 in Rural Fessenden, ND to William A and Clara Sheer.
She graduated from Parshall High School and went on to nurses training at Trinity Hospital in Minot ND. She worked in Minot and Fargo and enjoyed taking care of people. She married Duane Englund Oct 28, 1948 in Turtle Lake, ND. Marlys and Duane came to Missoula in 1952 where Duane started his dental practice. Marlys was a longtime member of St Paul Lutheran Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband Duane, sister Bernice Parks, half-sister June Reep and infant brother Chester.
She is survived by her son David, daughter Nancy Wolf (Mike), Grandchildren: David, Jacob and Anné Englund, and Benjamin Wolf, all of Missoula, half-brother William K Sheer (Elaine) of Hawley MN; half-sister Evelyn Geving of Rogers AR.
A memorial service will be held at St. Paul Lutheran Church Tuesday January 29, 2013 at 11 AM, with Pastor Chris Flohr officiating. Inurnment will follow at Sunset Memorial Cemetery.
