Mark Douglas Metesh

Mark Douglas Metesh passed suddenly on October 19, 2021 at the age of 68. Born in 1953 in Philipsburg, Montana, Mark graduated from Granite High School in Philipsburg. Mark loved and enjoyed his kids and the outings and time he spent with them, whether cooking or barbequing a meal together, hunting in the outdoors or cheering them on at their athletic events. Time with his young granddaughter Rylan was always a special treat for him. He enjoyed car shows and driving his convertible, attending his nephews’ high school football games and woodcraft. Mark also spent many, many hours driving Doris, his wife of 33 years, to whatever places and locations she wanted to snap beautiful wildlife and nature photographs.

Mark is preceded in death by his father, Bill Metesh, three siblings, Mary (Renee) McGuire, Margerie (Puddin) Hansen and JoJo Metesh as well as nephew Darby McGuire and brother-in-law Bill Dennis. Survivors include his mother, Dutch Metesh, wife Doris Metesh, sons, Cody and Wade Metesh, daughters, Lianne (Justin) Fluharty, Melissa Metesh, Jessie (Cole) Bolster, grandchildren Hannah and Logan Fluharty and Rylan Bolster, brothers, Bill (Lisa) Metesh, Brian Metesh, David (Becky) Metesh and sister, Jeannie Dennis. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In the words of his son, "there are many things I'd like to say, but I'll keep it brief. I loved my father and I'm going to miss him. The world just isn't quite right without him."

A memorial service to honor and celebrate Mark’s life will be held at a later date.
