Obituary for Marjorie "Jeanie" Teeple

Marjorie 'Jeanie' Teeple, born November 7, 1928, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday night, April 12th. She joined her husband of 63 years, Ken; her son, Craig; and her grandson, Jeff. Diagnosed with advanced cancer last May, Jeanie diligently organized her imminent passing as she prepared for the end days. Positive to the last moment, her legacy as a role model for possessing dignity while facing death will live on through all who met her. She told everyone she came in contact with during her battle with cancer that her faith was strong and she was unafraid of dying. She lived and died in exactly that way.

Jeanie was an amazing woman, who calmly kept the family going through many ups and downs, through times of happiness and sorrow; she was our glue. Her strength was quiet, and resolute. As her surviving children, we couldn't have ordered a better Mom - loving, kind, thoughtful, and never a push-over. She adored all her grandchildren - Rebel, Jeff, Mikaela, & Jordan as well as her many great-grandchildren - Kaia, Tanner, Tristen, Kenny, Kaelyn, Orion, Keira, Jayce & Kyanne.

Mom, Grandma, Big Mama - we all love you and life without you will never be the same.

Jeanie is survived by her children Jeff (Karen) Teeple and Jodi Teeple Christophe and daughter-in-law, Nanette (Dave) Williams; grandchildren Rebel (Ryan) Larson, Mikaela (Mike) King and Jordan (Jarrid) Teeple; and her many grandchildren.

The family wishes to express sincere gratitude to all staff of Hospice of Missoula who allowed Mom's final transition to be of her choosing.

Per Jeanie's request a private family service will be held. Sunset Memorial Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements. Condolences for Jeanie's family may be left at www.missoulafuneralhomes.com In lieu of flowers, Jeanie desired donations to Union Gospel Mission-Missoula or the American Cancer Society.
