Marjorie L. Monson, 95, of Missoula, formerly of St. Paul, Minnesota, died peacefully of natural causes Wednesday, June 4, 2014, at The Springs of Missoula.
Marge was preceded in death by parents Barney and Alma Meese, husband Wilmar Monson, brother Kurt Meese and sister Retha Smith.
Marge was an avid quilter and crafter, active in the Missoula Quilt Guild for many years. She was honored to have been a "Featured Quilter" at the Missoula Quilt Show in 2002.
Survivors include her son Richard (Carol) Monson; daughters Judith (William) Allen and Debra Monson; grandchildren Kenneth (Lori) Monson, David (Kari) Monson, Kyra (Steve) Shifflet, Kari Boucher, Keli Lower, Renee (Courtney) Christopher, Codi Allen and John (Christina) Harris; and 10 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service celebrating Marge's life will be held at Garden City Funeral Home, 1705 W. Broadway, at 4 p.m. Wednesday, June 11, with a reception following the service. A private interment will be at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in St. Paul. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the American Cancer Society.
