Marilyn Scott, 78, a retired nurse, passed away Monday, September 23, 2013 at Village Health Care Center.
Marilyn was born October 21, 1934 in Billings and attended schools in Idaho and Montana graduating from Billings Central Catholic High School in 1951. She continued her education at Carroll College, Helena, graduating in 1954 & 1958 with a degree in Nursing Education. She attended graduate school at University of Montana in the 70's.
Marilyn was employed in Health Care for over 40 years in positions of clinical, education and management. She practiced in hospitals throughout Montana and Spokane, WA., retiring from Montana Deaconess, Great Falls in January 1994 following chemotherapy for cancer.
She was active in the professional organizations and was dedicated to pursuing changes in nursing education and patient care……always an advocate for the clinical nurses she mentored.
Her life was dedicated to her profession and to her nieces/nephews she dearly loved and other young folks she championed as a surrogate aunt.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents; Ed & Peg Scott, brother; Jack and sister; Nancy. She is survived by 10 nieces and nephews.
Cremation has taken place and inurnment will be the Holy Cross Cemetery, Billings, MT. No services will be held per her request. Her only request is to remember her in your thoughts and prayers.

Cremation & Burial Society of the Rockies assisted the family with arrangements.
