MISSOULA – Marie D. Mueller, 88, of Missoula, passed away on Sunday, May 19, 2013, at Riverside Health Care Center.
Marie was born on March 5, 1925, in Somers to Lorna and John Lindsey. She was raised in Kalispell where she met her life-long sweetheart, Gerald Mueller, and married him on Aug. 18, 1941.
They lived in Bremerton, Wash., for five years, then moved to Libby for 12 years, where they built their house together by hand, then moved to Missoula in 1960. Marie was a cocktail waitress at the Frontier Lounge and the Elk's Club for many years.
She was an avid reader, loved to knit, crochet, sew, and do all types of crafts. She enjoyed playing canasta, pinochle, playing the accordion, piano and violin, camping, panning gold, and dancing.
Marie was preceded in death by her brother, Ben Lindsey.
Survivors include her devoted husband, Gerald Mueller; daughters Geri Mitchell of Seattle and Char Mueller of Las Vegas; grandson, Brent Mitchell of Palm Springs, Calif.; sister Donna Wittlake of Ronan; brother, Gordon Lindsey of Libby and many nieces and nephews.
