Heaven received a one of a kind angel on June 3rd. Mick passed away peacefully on a beautiful Sunday afternoon.
Mick was born August 28, 1959, the second child of Martin and Elaine Ployhar. Mick grew up in the Potomac valley which she loved so much, she made it her family’s home.
Mick was one tough bird, growing up with her brothers, she loved to go dirt bike riding, snowmobiling, fishing and generally doing whatever the boys were doing. She loved her Camaro and hauled her younger siblings around relentlessly. She spent many years ranching beside her Dad and logging with her best friend. Ranching was truly her passion. Mick loved her children above anything else. She said her kids were the most perfect thing she ever accomplished, they were her pride and joy. Mick had a love for children and enjoyed coaching basketball for years at Potomac. She also enjoyed knitting. One may be privileged enough to have one of her beautiful hats. Her garden was her peace and joy especially her sunflowers.
Mick is preceded in death by her parents Martin and Elaine Ployhar, mother-in-law Connie Truett, nephew Lou Ployhar, brother-in-law Jeff Bardwell and so many others.
Mick is survived by her best friend Rob Truett, children; Tom Truett, Amy Truett (Tylar), grandchildren; Layne, Sawyar, Brayden, her udder daughter Sonia Ward (Brian), siblings; Jeff (Donna) Ployhar, Floyd (Janette) Ployhar, Greg (Tammy) Ployhar, John (Emily) Ployhar, Heidi Bardwell, Holly and fiancé Jory Lawrence and a plethora of nieces and nephews. Her family is so large it is impossible to name everyone.
A special thank you to Rob, the love of her life and best friend. Thank you for being by her side through the good and the bad. She loved you to the end.
Mick gave us one last gift, a night of laughter, love and tears. Her spit fire personality will be missed by all. We loved her so much, may she rest in peace and fly with the angels. May she shine bright like the stars and moonlight!
A graveside service will be held at the Ployhar Family Cemetery Friday June 8th, 11:00 a.m. with a reception to follow at the Potomac Community Center. Sunflowers are Micks favorites and the family would appreciate a pack of your favorite plantable sunflowers that we will plant in the spring in Mick’s honor.
