LYDIA DOROTHY GLENN, 93 (one month shy of 94), of Missoula, passed away on
Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2013 at Country Homes Estates, of natural causes.
She was born on Dec. 20, 1919, in Golden Valley, North Dakota, to John and Elizabeth Roth.
The family moved to Corvallis MT in 1936. March 4, 1939 she married Lee Glenn and lived in
Corvallis until 1947 when they moved to Missoula where Lee was employed with the Railroad.
Lydia worked at the Florence Hotel and later at the University of Montana. Lee and Lydia were
married for 58 years and were blessed with two children, Larry and Gladys. In 1998 she moved
from the family home to the Missoula Manor. There she was active in the crocheting hats
(totaling well over 100) and mittens for the children in the Missoula Head Start Program. When
her health began to fail she moved to Country Horne Estates where she was well cared for until
her death.
She was a member of First Lutheran Church and had been very active in the Lutheran Women's
Missionary League years ago. Throughout the years she has enjoyed her family and friends. Her
interests were camping, gardening and fishing and had been an avid Montana Grizzly fan. One
highlight in her life was a trip to Europe.

Martha Buchannan (Gig Harbor, Washington), Verna Llewellyn, (Missoula), and Lillian (Dale)
Taylor, (Missoula); seven grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great grandchildren; and
numerous nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be at 11:00 am, Tuesday, November 26 at First Lutheran Church. There will be a luncheon to follow for family and friends to visit. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Missoula and Country Horne Estates. Sunset Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.
