Lucien Norman Croonenberghs, 66, of Missoula, passed away on Friday, Oct. 10, 2014 at Community hospital of a long standing illness.
He was born on Sept. 6, 1948. As a young boy he lived with his family; father, Lucien J. and mother, Mary C. Croonenberghs, sister, Luci Ann, and brother Jeff R., in the family travels, he lived in Butte, Winnipeg, Canada, Hopkins, Minnesota then moved to Missoula, Mont, in 1963.
After high school graduation, during Vietnam, he joined The Army National Guard and furthered his studies at the University of Montana. Then he joined the U.S. Navy and soon after married Lisa Edrich and fathered three sons, Justin, Jacob, and Levi.
He went to school to become a machinist and went on to overhauling GE and Westinghouse steam turbines. He also joined the trucking industry and drove 18 wheelers for over 20 years. He continued driving truck and married again and is survived by a daughter, Daysha, in St. Regis and an ex-wife Karen.
Lucien was a great machinist and taught welding at the University of Montana. He retired in 2011.
He is survived by his sister Luci Ann, brother, Jeff R., sons; Justin, Jacob, and Levi, with Lisa Edrich, a grandson from Jacob, a daughter Daysha, with Karen Grenagre, He will be missed by all he knew for his quick wit and sense of humor. A true conversationalist for sure.
Lucien N. had a shared family Gene. The Knack.
