Louis “Dale” Taylor peacefully passed away Friday January 5 at home surrounded by family. He was born on May 9th 1920, to Ernest and Lorene Taylor, the third oldest of 9 children. Living in Missoula his whole life he attended Missoula County High School.
He served his Country in World War II in the Army Airforce obtaining the rank of Technical Sargent. After his service he returned to Missoula where he met and married Lillian his wife of 69 years. Dale worked as mechanic at the Forest Services until retirement. He enjoyed summer weekends on Flathead Lake, horseback riding, camping, and fishing with his family. Dale will be remembered by his family and friends as a kind and charming husband, father, grandfather, and neighbor.
He is survived by his wife Lillian Taylor, daughter Linda Garberg, son Bud Taylor, brother Howie Taylor, sister Wanita Fay Gordon and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Services are planned at First Lutheran Church, 2808 South Ave. W. Missoula, MT 59804 at 11:00 am on Saturday January 20th with reception to follow.
