Louis W. "Bill" Burklund

On Tuesday, June 9, 2015, Louis William "Bill" Burklund passed away in his home of natural causes. We will celebrate his life at 1 p.m. Sunday, June 14, at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Missoula. And what a life he had! Bill was born and raised in Missoula County and couldn't go anywhere that he didn't run into an old friend or someone he knew. Mornings would find him having coffee with his friends, solving the world's problems or betting on the upcoming game.

Bill worked several jobs over the years, but was always a cowboy at heart. He shared his love of horses with his family. Lucretia Beaudry and Bill have two daughters, Jodie Burklund and Julie Burklund (Andy). He has three grandchildren whom he adored, Tyrell Burklund, Shae Burklund (Leeza), and Ryanne Burklund-Newton (Justin). He also has two great-grandchildren, Hayes and Hadlee.

Bill also leaves behind his sister, Rhea Johnson (Roger); and his nephews, Steven, Todd and Randy Johnson.

A reception will follow the services. Any donations can be made in his name to the Wounded Warrior Project.
