Louella (Liz) Luoma was born to Clarence and Violet Therriault on May 23, 1941 in Missoula, MT. She joined Dad in heaven on June 3, 2024.
Mom grew up in Elliston with her two younger brothers Harold and Dale. She loved being "one of the boys" and the three of them shared many wonderful adventures together.
On November 28, 1959 she married the love of her life Keith. They spent 54 wonderful years together filled with camping, snowmobiling, 4-wheeling, and time spent at the cabins in Garnet before Dads death in 2014.
Mom lived most of her life in Hall and was very proud to be the oldest living resident at the time of her death. Mom cherished her friends in Hall and could spend hours visiting. There was always a pot of coffee on and cookies in the cupboard for anyone who wanted to stop by for a visit. She also loved taking care of everyone else. When her health began to decline, she hated not being able to take care of all of her friends in town. She will be missed by many.
Mom leaves behind a legacy of love including: Daughter and son in law, Lori and Lawrence Nelson of Hall, Son and daughter in law, Kurt and Ronni Luoma of Rock Creek, and Daughter and son in law, Lisa and Dan Villa of Georgetown Lake. Grand children Michael (Darah) Nelson of Hall, Sara (Chad) Koon of Hall, Marie (Kyle) Greany of Drummond, Brandon (Kaylee) Jesse of Drummond, and Brianna (Taylor) Goff of Butte. Her nine great grandchildren, Lexi and Clay Nelson, Tucker and Jake Koon, Kesley and Carter Greany, Lincoln and Lane Jesse, and Brooks Goff. She also leaves behind brothers Harold (Arlene) Therriault of Elliston and Dale (Patricia) Therriault of Helena, brother in law Lindy Luoma of Drummond, and numerous nieces, nephews and many dear friends. Us kids would like to say a special thank you to Rachael Johnson for all the love she gave to Mom. Mom considered her a special friend.
Memorial services will be held June 13th at 11am at the Valley Cemetery in Drummond. There will be a luncheon at the Drummond Fire Station immediately following.
Dad and Mom spent countless hours decorating and making the little town of Hall a spot to remember on the drive up MT Hwy 1. Mom was very proud of the town and loved knowing that people were carrying on with the beautification that her and Dad had started. Memorials to honor Mom may be made to the Hall Beautification Committee, C/O Sharon Fillbach, 37 Boulder Patch Rd, Hall, MT 59837.
We will miss you Mom! Take care of the rest of the crew who were there to greet you.
