Lorene Mary Loran, 88, of Missoula passed away of natural causes on February, 25, 2017 at Footsteps Memory Care at The Springs.
Lorene was born on February 12, 1929 at St. Patrick Hospital, to Nichodemus and Katherine Loran. She attended St. Francis Grade School and Missoula County High School. Upon graduating, Lorene worked at the Florence Hotel as a telephone operator. After a few years, she started a career working as a stenographer for the Northern Pacific Railroad. Lorene was very fond of her job and the people she worked with. She retired after working for over 30 years.
Lorene was a part of a large family. She had four sisters and four brothers. She enjoyed family get-togethers and summer picnics. Every Christmas Eve, relatives gathered at her home for a tradition of Tom and Jerry’s with lots of family fun!
Religion was very important to Lorene. She was an active member of St. Francis Xavier Church and lived a life of deep faith and prayer.
Lorene lived with her parents, who she loved deeply and took care of until their deaths. She was a generous, loving person with a great sense of humor. Lorene will be greatly missed by all of us.
Survivors include her twin sister, Irene (Darrel) of Missoula and numerous nieces, nephews and their families.
Visitation and sharing will be at Garden City Funeral Home, Friday evening, March 3rd, 2017 at 7:00pm.
