Lloyd V. "Bud" Willumsen

Lloyd "Bud" Willumsen, 89, of Missoula, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2015, at St. Patrick Hospital as the result of a stroke. He was born in Dagmar on Sept. 24, 1925, the son of Christian and Amanda Willumsen.

He attended school in Medicine Lake and Sidney. Lloyd married Evelyn Morstad on July 15, 1948. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, spending time with his family, traveling and spending winters in Hawaii.

Lloyd loved his family and friends and always had good free advice. His faith and his commitment to reading the Bible was evident to all who knew him. He was a kind, gentle and yet strong man, with a keen sense of humor.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Les; and two sisters, Irene and Doris. He is survived by his wife, Evelyn; two sons, Phil and Mike (Lori); two daughters , Wanda (Everett) Reynolds and Myrna (Gordon) Hoversland; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Services will be Saturday, Jan. 10, at 2 p.m. at Garden City Funeral Home with a reception to follow. Friends may leave condolences at missoulafuneralhomes.com.
