Obituary for Linda R Kincel

Linda Raye (Hahn) Kincel, 65, of Huson, passed away at St. Patrick Hospital on Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2014.

She was born March 27, 1948, in St. Ignatius to Jack and Alnora Hahn. She grew up in Post Creek at Rainbow Hall with her sisters, and helped run the roller rink and dance hall.

While attending high school in St. Ignatius, she met LeRoy Kincel of Round Butte. On Aug. 21, 1965, LeRoy and Linda were married in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. The couple lived on the Kincel family ranch in Round Butte before moving to Missoula in 1968, where they lived until moving to their current home in Huson in 1981.

Linda enjoyed camping, fishing, gardening and being in the outdoors. She was an avid reader and an accomplished crocheter. Mom always spearheaded the numerous family camping outings, organizing menus and making sure that there would be enough food and fun for everyone, and special treats for grandkids; rarely was anything forgotten. For several years, the family has gathered at Camp Tuffit on Lake Mary Ronan for extended weekend stays. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

For Linda and LeRoy's 41st wedding anniversary, they went on an Alaskan cruise, which they enjoyed immensely. She was hoping to plan another cruise in the near future, when all her children and grandchildren could go.

Linda worked hard to make a home for her family all of her life; she was the glue that held everyone to each other.

After her children moved from the family home, Linda assisted LeRoy with many vehicle and home restorations. She also started working for the Frenchtown School District in the grade school lunch room from which she retired in 2010.

Linda is survived by her husband, LeRoy of Huson; daughter, Lori (John) Dalkey of Thompson Falls; daughter, Lisa (Randy) Hendrickson of Alberton; son, Lonnie (Heidi) Kincel of Kalispell; grandsons, Joshua Brown of Stevensville, Jesse (Shea) Brown of Butte, Patrick (Trista) Nobles of Round Butte, Brian Hendrickson of Alberton and Aidan Rambo of Kalispell; granddaughters, Shauna Hendrickson of Missoula and Lilyana Hutcheson of Kalispell; great-grandsons, Mathew Brown of Butte and Beau Nobles of Round Butte; great-granddaughters, Stacy Nobles of Round Butte and Riley Brown of Butte; sister, Patty Hahn of Arlee; sister, Judy Miller of Arlee; sister-in-law, Colleen Gydas of Missoula; sister-in-law, Dorothy Solomon of Olympia, Wash.; and numerous special aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 11, at Sunset Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
