FISH CREEK - Lillian Young passed away of natural causes at her home near Alberton on Saturday, January. 10, 2009. Lillian moved to the Helean Logging camp with her husband Brownie in 1959, where they remained to this day. Lillian loved to garden and grew the finest vegetables and most beautiful flowers imaginable. She nurtured wildflowers, Mother Nature’s bushes, hummingbirds, raccoons, and all the deer in the area. There is no one on earth who loves nature more than Lillian did. She was protective of house flies, mice and all creatures.
She was known and loved for her amazing talent as an artist, a champion fiddle player, and crooning out a song while strumming her guitar.
Lillian is survived by her husband Brownie of 64 years, and a world full of loving family and friends.
Cremation has taken place at Sunset Memorial Gardens. With respect to Lillian’s wishes, there will be no formal services. A potluck gathering at the Big Pine in Fish Creek to celebrate Lillian’s life will take place in the spring. There will be a notice in local newspapers, regarding the date and time.
