Obituary for Lewis "Bud" Clark

Lewis Reginald "Bud" Clark, Sr., 91, of Turah, passed away on Monday, April 27, 2015, at his home.
Bud was born December 9, 1923, in Orleans, Iowa, to Clyde and Zola Clark of Harris/Lake Park, Iowa. As a young boy, he lived on a farm with his two sisters, Wanda and Bonnie and his brother Allen. Sadly, all of Bud's siblings have passed away.
Bud graduated high school in Superior, Iowa. He was class president all four years, played basketball and baseball, was in several class plays, and fished on his "days off".
After graduation, Bud joined the army and fought in World War II, where he served with distinction in New Guinea. After the war, he married his wife, LaVonne, and had two sons; Lewis (Reg) Clark, Jr. of St. Regis and Richard Clark (married to Candy) of Victor. They lived and worked on their farm in Iowa, and later moved to Montana, where Bud logged all over the state.
He later married Donna, and took on the role as "Dad" to her four children; Lester Clark (Pam), Laura Clark, Lisa Shaffer (Brad), all of Missoula and Lew Clark (Christy) of Choteau. Bud, Donna and the kids moved to Henning, MN and purchased Bud's second farm. In 1981, they retired and moved back to beloved Montana.
They built their final home in Turah, surrounded by their treasured neighbors. They were dear friends and Bud loved them all like family.
In his later years, Bud loved to garden, keep his house and yard immaculate, read Louis L'Amour books, cook and bake, grocery shop, watch "The Wheel", and take friends and family to lunch.
Bud was an extremely hard working, kind and proud man. He loved all his kids very much, but he was most proud of his numerous grandchildren and oodles of great grandchildren. He gave the best bear hugs to them all.
The family will be having a Celebration of Life Ceremony at Garden City Funeral Home, day and time to be determined.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to a Disabled Veteran's charity of your choice. That would be an incredible honor to Bud.
