Obituary for Lesley Stone "Lee" Welshans

Lee passed away at home, surrounded by loving family, Saturday, April 30, 2016, at 67 years of age. She fought valiantly a nine-year battle with primary progressive aphasia, a form of dementia. To the end Lee was a proud, loving, stubborn, strong, beautiful woman who most of all was a loving wife, mom, grandma, sister and friend. She retired from a remarkable 32-year career with IBM in 2007 heading a worldwide team of software managers. Lee was passionate about many things including politics, Montana, her home and garden, but mostly about her family which she loved so much.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Patricia Stone Moffet and Orrin Stone. She is survived by her husband Roger, daughter Stacey (Kevin), son Josh and grandkids, Finnean, Brynn, Marisol and Mylie. She also is survived by stepchildren, Matt (Natalie), Jane (Matthew), Jacob and Nick; and step-grandchildren, Carter, Cole, Adriana and Ronan. Lee also is survived by brother Orrin Stone, and sisters Nancy Hofer and Suzan Hurlbut, all of Minnesota.

A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 28, at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 2561 Victoria St. N., Roseville, MN 55113.

Memorials may go to the Association for Frontotemporal Degeneration, theaftd.org.
