Leonard Zawada

Leonard D. Zawada was born in Miles City, MT on January 14, 1944 to Frank and Elsie Zawada. On November 15, 1970, Leonard married Anna Marie Fonner and were together until she passed away in 1994. Leonard joined the Navy in 1967 through which he then served in the Vietnam War. He was later transferred in the Naval Reserve. He also served in the Army National guard.
When Leonard wasn’t serving his country, in his free time, he enjoyed bird watching at Kelley Island. He became so good at identifying birds that he could tell a kind of bird by the way it chirped or sang. He enjoyed Eagles the most. He also enjoyed kayaking and camping, fishing, hunting, and hiking.
We was laid to rest at Western Montana State Veterans Cemetery. Condolences may be left at www.gardencityfh.com
