Leona Hestekind

Leona Lee Hestekind (Lee), 84, passed away on October 22, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She was born March 3, 1940 in Powell, Wyoming, the daughter of Laura and Leon Banks. Lee harbored a passion for crafts evident in her elaborate miniature dollhouses and she enjoyed a good crossword puzzle. She also enjoyed foreign travel with her husband and friends and snow birding in Mesa, AZ.

Her surviving family includes her husband, Robert (Bob); her daughters (son in-laws), Laurie (Burt) Foshag of Missoula, Lynda Patterson of Spokane, WA, Leslie (Will) Smith of Seattle, WA; her four grandchildren, Travis Foshag, Kelcie Foshag, Shawn Patterson, Alex Patterson; her sister, Lindy Sue Watts of Woodland, CA; and her two nieces.

 Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 28 at the Garden City Funeral Home. Reception to follow. Donations in memory of Lee can be made to Missoula Aging Services at 337 Stephens Ave, Missoula, MT 59801.
