Obituary for Leo A. Flink

Leo A. Flink, 92, of Missoula, passed away Saturday evening, Nov. 22, 2014, at Target Range Adult Care.

Leo was born in Missoula on July 29, 1922, to Thomas and Mary (Gabel) Flink. He attended local schools and joined the Army in December 1942, proudly serving his country in the infantry with treks through Rome, France and other European countries until October 1945.

Upon returning to Missoula, Leo was employed as a clerk for the Burlington Northern Railroad for 32 years, retiring in 1982.

He was a member of St. Francis Xavier Parish. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed fishing, big-game hunting and gardening in the Orchard Homes area beginning in 1932, helping the family with their truck gardening business.

Leo is survived by his brother, Edgar (Rita); sister-in-law, Jean Flink; as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister, Frances (Bert) Thresher; and brothers, William (Doris), Leonard (Dona) and Kenneth.

Per Leo's request, cremation will take place and no services will be held. Memorials may be made to Partners in Home Care, 2087 Palmer St., Missoula, MT 59808; or to a charity of your choice.

A special thank you to LeRoy and Amy of Target Range Adult Care for the professional and loving care Leo received the past three years.
