He was born in Missoula on September 26, 1962 to Willy and Regina Veitenheimer. As a young man, he attended Central School in East Missoula and enjoyed playing on many various sports teams. As a high school student, he carried forward his love for athletics when he moved to Westport, Washington to attend Ocosta High School. He played on Ocosta’s football and basketball team, leading the football team as quarterback both his junior and senior years. Following this, he went on to attend University of Montana, graduating with a degree in Education while serving in the National Guard.

This was the start of over 20 years retail management experience he accrued with various companies including 7Eleven, Burlington Coat Factory, and Ross Dress For Less. Later, in February of 2015, he found his home at Town Pump, a job which was not only rewarding but also resulted in many close friendships.
