Kevin Murphy

MISSOULA - Kevin Patrick Murphy died Monday, Feb. 9, 2009, due to diabetic complications.





He was born June 7, 1961, in Missoula to Sylvester and Mae Murphy.





Kevin has left us for Hot Rod Heaven in a ride not so stylish, but still made it look good nonetheless. Kevin was a giant dwarfed only the size of his heart. He was known for giving the shirt off his back and had the innate ability to make anyone smile. Those who knew him will forever remember his humor and quick wit. He will be missed.





Survivors include his wife, Krystel Murphy of Missoula; son, Aaron Murphy of Missoula; daughter, Samantha Hoffman of Missoula; one grandson, Steven; his mother, Mae Murphy; sisters, Peggy Rummell of Salem, Ore., Teri Hasbrouck of Missoula, Stephen Murphy of Missoula, Marian Swartz of Missoula, Joe Murphy of Columbia Falls, Lucy McCandless of Spokane, Patty Sneberger of Stayton, Ore., Cathy Hazenberg of Portland Ore., and Bibiana Reh of Missoula.





He was preceded in death by his father, Sylvester Murphy; and his sister, Melinda Murphy.





Cremation has taken place and a service with reception afterward will be held to celebrate his life at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 14, at Blessed Trinity, 1475 Eaton St., Missoula.
