Kenneth "Ken" J. Sutton passed away peacefully at the Beehive Assisted Living on December 8, 2017 of natural causes. He was 88 years old.
Ken was born on June 30, 1929 in Baytown, Texas to Sylas and Harmonia Rose Sutton. He attended Texas A and M in 1948 where he played basketball for two years. He married Donna Sutton in 1963. Ken spent most of his career working in furniture sales and opened LarKen furniture store in Missoula, Montana on September 18th 1970. He retired in 1986 and dedicated his time to his grandchildren - teaching them all about fishing. He also operated a small rod and reel repair shop out of his basement.
Ken was an avid fisherman with a passion for getting young people involved in the sport that he loved so much. He loved teaching his grandsons the art of building fishing poles, as well as the art of fly fishing, tying flies, and repairing broken or worn reels.
Ken is survived by his daughter Judy Morton of Arlee Montana, his son Chuck Sutton of Fall City Washington, his 8 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife Donna Sutton, his son Kelly Sutton and one great grandchild.
Ken was cremated on December 14th 2017. Services will be held at a later date when all of his family can attend.
