Kelly Samuel Hagan, age 53, of Frenchtown, Montana, passed away on Tuesday, January 16, 2018, at Harbor View Medical Center in Seattle, WA. Kelly was born in Missoula, MT on August 6, 1964, to Bob and Dot Hagan. As a young boy he lived with his parents and two older brothers, Alan and Paul, and attended school in Frenchtown. Kelly then went on to earn his bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering with honors from DeVry Institute (Phoenix, AZ) in 1986.
After college Kelly began working at his father’s welding shop, Hagan Welding, where he eventually became a partner/owner. On February 22, 1989, he married Arkelle Rowe in Coeur D’Alene, Idaho. The couple bought and maintained a home in Huson, Montana. In 1994 the couple had their first son, Seth Hagan, and in 1997 had another son, August Hagan.
Kelly was a supportive father and husband and loved to spend time with his boys. He enjoyed fishing, racing, and spending time in his shop working on cars and bikes. Kelly was known for being lighthearted and brightening the day of those around him.
Kelly is survived by his wife, Arkelle, two sons, Seth and August Hagan, all of Missoula. He is also survived by his mother, Dot Hagan and two brothers, Paul (Laura) Hagan, Frenchtown, and Alan (Danyell) Hagan, Missoula, as well as many nieces and nephews. Kelly is preceded in death by his father, Bob Hagan of Missoula.
Kelly will be greatly missed by his family, friends and community.
Services will be held at 11:00AM on February 2, 2018, at Heritage Hall (Fort Missoula), 30 Fort Missoula Rd, Missoula MT (the big yellow building). Food and drink will be served after services. Dress casual. In lieu of flowers, donations could be made to the Missoula Food Bank.
