Keith Douglas 'George' Seim was the third son born to Obert and Charlotte (Spears) Seim in Missoula on Aug. 11, 1943.
He attended Paxson Elementary School, and Sentinel High School, participating in football and track.
In 1961 he attended th University of Montana on a track scholarship, graduating in 1965 with a business administration degree.
As an outstanding athlete, Keith earned and held the Discus Conference record for 24 years. He was an active member of the Sigma Nu Fraternity. Throughout college, he worked at Rother Lumber in Missoula. In addition he trained at the Smokejumping Base, and was an active Smokejumper for five years.
Keith owned and operated Seim Dental Lab for 24 years. After retirement, he survived a nine year battle with Multiple Myeloma. The Disease ended a lifetime of hunting and fishing: primarily in Montana, Canada, and Alaska. These hunting adventures included family members and several very special friends. He lived his entire life at the family home, and was the primary caregiver for both parents in their later years; particulalry his father, Obert Seim.
Keith was preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Anna Seim of Macville, North Dakota, who immigrated from Norway; Robert and Clara Spears of Whitefish; great niece Faith Racheal Freisen and special lifelong friend, Laird Robinson.
Keith is survived by his brothers Dr. Robert Seim (Carol) of Missoula, RichardSeim (Mary) of Great Falls; Nephews Brad Seim (Kim) and sons Peyton and Bode of Draper, Utah, Scott Seim (Lonnie)and son Lane of Great Falls; niece Kimberly Seim Friesen(Paul) and daughters Morgan and Karter of Greeley Colorado.
Garden City Funeral Home is handling arrangements, a private family service and burial will be held at a later date. Memorials may be sent to the University Track Scholarship Fund or a gift to the dooar's choice.
