Kay A. Flink, 89, born Kathleen A. Owens, passed away peacefully in the presence of her loving family, on Wed. Jan. 13, 2016.
Kay was born on Jan. 29, 1926 to Fred W. and Nellie A. Owens. She spent most of her life in Missoula, except for her first ten years of marriage to Frank J. Laub, where they lived in Chicago and their oldest daughter, Cheryl L. Henderson was born. When they returned to Missoula, their youngest daughter, Kathy A. Disney was born. Frank passed away in January 1967. She married the love of her life, Harold J. Flink in 1968.
She had many hobbies, including crocheting, embroidery, ceramics and canning. She loved playing any game that included a deck of cards or dice.
Kay was from a railroad family, her grandfather, father, brother, and husband.
She loved anything that had to do with butterflies, as anyone who knew and loved her saw when they entered her loving home.
Kay is survived by her daughters; Cheryl (Ralph) Henderson, Kathy (Don) Disney, stepdaughter; Becky Dawsey, special in-laws; Chuck and Sandy Larson and family, many grandchildren and great grandchildren, and we can't forget to mention her constant companion, her kitty Lily.
A private family service will be held at Old St. Mary's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please donate to a charity of your choice.
Garden City Funeral Home is assisting the family. Condolences and memories may be left for the family at www.missoulafuneralhomes.com
