Obituary for Kathryn Sue Haynes Siebert

– Kathryn Sue Haynes Siebert, 84, passed away on Saturday, July 9, 2016, at her home in Missoula, due to complications from lymphoma.

She was born the youngest of seven children on Aug. 21, 1931, in Morgantown, West Virginia, to Nova Jenny Haynes and John Criss Haynes. She married Harry Lee Siebert on Sept. 3, 1955. The couple lived in Elkins, West Virginia, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, McCall, Idaho, Price, Utah, and South Lake Tahoe, California, prior to moving to Missoula in 1975.

She held a bachelor's degree in mathematics and a master's degree in counseling from West Virginia University. For many years she taught mathematics at Hellgate High School in Missoula. She was a long-time member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Missoula, and was also active in P.E.O.

She will be remembered by all who knew her for her quick wit, her optimistic outlook, and her gracious bearing.

She was preceded in death by her parents and five of her six siblings. She is survived by her husband, Harry of Missoula; her daughter, Janet Siebert of Cherry Hills Village, Colorado, and her family; her daughter, Jean Siebert of Morgantown; her brother, Bill Haynes, of Pleasanton, California, and his family; and many nieces and nephews, and their families.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 2, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Missoula, with Pastor Chris Flohr officiating.
