Obituary for Kathryn M "Kitty" Fulton

Kathryn (Kitty) Fulton passed away December 8, 2016 with her son and daughter by her side, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Kitty was born April 13th, 1947 to John Fulton and Betty Fulton in PIttsburgh, Pennsylvania. Her family moved to Missoula in 1952. She graduated from the University of Montana with a degree in elementary education. She taught one year in Virginia and 5 years at Cold Springs Elementary in Missoula until she moved to West Glacier for 16 years. In West Glacier she continued teaching, was a homemaker and mother. Kitty moved back to Missoula in 1989. She spent the remainder of her career teaching at Hellgate Elementary in Missoula. After retiring, Kitty loved to spend time gardening, playing with her grandchildren, and being part of her community working with PEO and the public library. Kitty was kind and generous, always thinking of others before thinking of herself.

Kitty is survived by two children, Andrew (Beth) Yuhas and Elizabeth (Matt) Parris, her mother Betty Fulton, brothers Jim (Carol) Fulton and John (Sherry) Fulton, cousin Sherry (Lino) Marsillo and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father John Fulton.

The family would like to thank Kitty’s circle of friends for their love and support, and Hospice of Missoula for their caring professionalism. As per her request, there will be a private family celebration of her life. In lieu of flowers, Kitty, a lifelong animal lover, asked that donations be made to Animeals, 1700 Rankin St., Missoula, MT, 59808.
