Kathleen Anne Roberts was called home by our lord. She passed away on Monday March 3, 2025, of natural causes at the Missoula Springs Living Senior Home.
Kathleen was born on December 18,1943, in Junction City, Kansas to Ralph and Rozelle Mary Dunmire. As a young girl she attended Fort Peck Grade School in Montana. Later after moving with her family to Missoula she continued her education at Missoula County High School. She then went on to graduate from the University of Montana with a BA degree in Special Education.
On September 24,1977, she married the “Love of Her Life,” Col. Sam A. Roberts at St. John the 23rd Church in Missoula. Although Kathleen had no children of her own from this union, she inherited four step children, six step grand children and two step great grand children from Sam. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. The following years were loaded with vacations, cruises, holiday visits and precious time spent with her step children and grand children.
Kathleen was a devout Catholic and an active volunteer in church activities. She and her husband Sam, were leaders in the Catholic Cursillo movement in Montana.They travelled throughout the state promoting, organizing and conducting Cursillos. Sometimes they spent weeks on the road carrying out these endeavors.
Kathleen was also a member of the Five Valleys Pachyderm Club and an active member of the Montana State and National Republican Parties.
Kathleen has no immediate remaining family.
Visitation and rosary service: Thursday, March 13, at 6:00 PM, at Garden City Funeral Home.
Funeral Service: Friday, March 14, 11:00 AM, at Christ the King Church, followed by a reception in the basement.
Burial: 2:00 PM at Western Montana Cemetery
