Katheryn Deeds

Katheryn “Kate” Marie Deeds passed away Sunday
February 25, 2018 at home with her husband Jim
by her side.

Kate was born April 13th 1946 in Missoula to
Thomas and Gwendolyn Gibson Beers.
She was described by family as a “tomboy”
growing up with volleyball, baseball and softball
being some of her favorite activities. Kate was
also, the editor of the “Accent” in high school which
she continued to work on during her employment at
Loyola Sacred Heart Foundation.

In 1964 Kate graduated from Sacred Heart Academy, and went
on to marry Jimmie Deeds five years later on February 15, 1969. Kate
and Jim celebrated forty-nine years of marriage in 2018.

Through her work at the NP Hospital, Loyola Sacred Heart Foundation
and St Francis Xavier Parish, she continued to be
the workhorse behind the scenes, however she
refused the credit she so rightly deserved. With a multitude
of events including BASH and other fundraisers for Missoula Catholic
Schools, to her support of the St Francis Xavier Parish
community, Kate lived her life with integrity, compassion,
love and dedication to her God, her family and many friends.

To all those that knew her, she was a beautiful human being that was
respected and loved unconditionally by so many.

Kate was proceeded in death by her parents, Thomas and Gwendolyn
Beers; her sisters, Barb Voth and Beverly Zachariason; and her brothers,
John and Jim Beers.

Kate is survived by her loving husband Jimmie Deeds; her son, Thomas Deeds;
Her daughter Jennifer Deeds and grand dog Mocha; her brother Thomas Beers; and her, sister
Mary Shelley. Kate will also be missed by her many nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at St Francis Xavier Parish on Thursday, March 8, 2018 at
10:30 a.m. with a reception to follow downstairs in Reidy Hall. A graveside will take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery after the reception at 1:30 p.m. Condolences may be left at www.gardencityfh.com
