Kathy was 65 when she passed away on Oct. 28, 2018, from complications due to Cancer. She was born June 8, 1953, to Emmanuel (“Chuck”) Strecker and Dorthey Strecker in Billings Montana. Kathy moved to Missoula when her mother remarried. Kathy graduated from Hellgate High School and in 1975 she married Micheal Magstadt. They were married 43 + years until her death. They were blessed with two Daughters Sabrina Magstadt and Megan Magstadt, and then blessed again with five grandchildren named Austin, Andrew, Maya, Kendel, and Micheal.
Kathy was such a kind, caring and sweet woman. She would never think twice when asked to help someone and often was quick to offer help even when not asked. Kathy had a special twinkle in her eye when she was around her family, who meant the world to her. For years Kathy and Mike would spend weeks camping at Lolo Hot Springs with their family and friends. They had so many special memories of their family growing up. Kathy enjoyed hiking, crystal hunting, reading, crafts, baking, four wheeling, but most of all spending time with her family.
Kathy’s tender loving heart and loving personality drew family and friends in and they would want to be around her. We don’t think Kathy realized how many lives she touched and how much she meant to so may people. Kathy will be missed and we are sure she has a special place in heaven.
Kathy was preceded in death by her father Emmanuel (“chuck”) Strecker; she left behind Husband Micheal Magstadt; Daughter Sabrina (Dale Swanson) and Daughter Megan (John Galli); Grandchildren Austin Magstadt, Andrew Galli, Maya Magstadt, Kendel Magstadt, Micheal Swanson; Mother Dorothy Karr of Missoula; Brother Dean Strecker (Jan) of San Diego; Sister Cyndie Lefebvre (David) of Polson; Brother Kevin Karr (Tina) Kentucky; In-laws Robert Magstadt (Sherley) of Missoula, Steve Magstadt (Amanda) of Missoula, Julia Urbush of Missoula, Cindy Rogers of Missoula, Toby Magstadt (Melissa) of Missoula; and numerous nieces and nephews.
