Katherine Lee Duval

CLINTONâ�,��**– Katherine Lee Duval, 62, of Clinton, passed away Saturday, July 14, 2013.

Kathy is survived by her three children, Michelle Duval-Lumpkin (Eric), Nichole Williams (Willy) and Charlie Duval; sister, Jo Anne Sherwood (Brent); brothers, Donald "Willie" Smith (Jonnie) and Doug Smith (Brenda); six grandchildren; and 17 nieces and nephews.

Kathy was born in Alliance, Neb., on Sept. 18, 1950, to William and Peggy Smith. She met and later married Allen Dean Duval in October 1971. In 1976, they moved to Missoula to raise their family. During this time Kathy worked at Hellgate Elementary, retiring in 2010 after 25 years.

Al and Kathy were married for 40 years until his passing in 2011; she grieved and missed him every day since. Kathy was a strong, loving mother, wife and devoted friend, who supported everyone in all their life pursuits and adventures.

Her greatest loves were Al and the Lord God, and we know she is with them now. She is, and will be, greatly missed.

The family will receive friends at a remembrance service at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 20, at the Christian Life Center, 3801 S. Russell St., Missoula, MT 59801. The family wishes to thank longtime friends for their loving support and care .

Arrangements are under the care of Garden City Funeral Home and Crematory.
