Obituary for Katherine Carol Daugherty

Katherine Carol Daugherty, 71, of Clinton, passed away Saturday, May 31, 2014, at St. Patrick Hospital of complications associated with lung cancer.

She was born Sept. 28, 1942, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to Elmer and Katherine Burke. She was the youngest of six children. As a young girl she lived with her family and was educated in Dell City/Midwest City, Oklahoma. While in high school, she was a member of the Future Home Makers Society and Debate Club. She graduated from the Missoula Vocational Technical School with a degree in accounting.

She proudly worked for the U.S. Forest Service, Northern Region in the information office for 25 years.

She was a proud supporter of Clinton Elementary and Hellgate High School, and an active member of the Clinton Community Church until her passing.

She enjoyed gardening, landscaping, crafts/sewing and cheering on the Bobcats. Her greatest enjoyment was traveling with her late sister Martha Jane Wood.

She will be remembered as a loving mother who took great care of her family, friends, church and colleagues. She will be associated with fond memories of a women who loved Montana and the life she lived here.

She is survived and greatly missed by her only son, Tommy E. Daugherty, DVM, and wife Julie Daugherty of Lexington, Kentucky.
