Obituary for Justin Orion Taylor Cummins

– Justin Orion Taylor Cummins, or Bucket, as most know him. Bucket was born May 26, 1983, and left us on Friday, Nov. 11, 2016, at the age of 33 to start a new journey. He leaves behind his three children, Riley, Olivia and Gharett; his children’s mother Miranda Parker; his wife Tanya Cummins and his stepson Dylan; Justin’s mother Kim Cummins and “Pops” Doug Cummins and many, many more who love him. His new journey will be a wild ride and I can’t wait to hear about it from him some day.

Justin enjoyed the outdoors more than most, he loved to camp and enjoyed shooting his guns when he had time. He had a broad spectrum of talents from welding to glazier. Justin was most recently working in HVAC field for Anderson’s Heating, Air Conditioning & Plumbing. Justin was a mechanical minded soul and was good at most everything he attempted. He loved his children and his family more than anything, and he was a good provider for his family as well. Justin was loved and respected by so many people and we will miss him dearly.

Tanya Cummins was the love of his life and you could see his eyes light up and sparkle at the mention of her name. He did his utmost to make her happy and put a smile on her lips. Bucket and Tanya had many “great adventures” with one another while sharing in all the joys life had to offer, raising their children to be honest, loving, kind and caring to one another and the world in general.

Justin got his infamous nickname and his sense of humor from his very good natured mother Kim, who was one of his best friends in the entire world. Bucket was one of a kind. God broke the mold when he made Justin. Justin is now in the hands of his Maker and is finally now painless. May Justin rest in peace. We love you Bucket, and hope to see you again.

Bucket was a past president of Missoula Eagles Lodge No. 32, a position he was very proud of. He had held all of the officers positions and would have been president for a second time next June, a honor that most men will never hold. Bucket was always quick to pitch in and help for any worthy cause, from cooking Thursday night barbecue during the summer to donning the Easter Bunny or "Bucket Bunny" costume to make all of our children happy and help enjoy the Easter Egg Hunt.

Bucket loved to bring the kids with him to Eagles functions so he could show them how important it was not only to be part of the community but also to help shape and aid your community, or "lead by example.” Bucket was also a member of the Missoula Moose Lodge No. 556. He was a great "social member" and participated in as many social functions as he and the family could attend and help with. Bucket had a great sense of humor and he knew he was funny as many of his friends and all of his family can attest to. He had a knack for saying the inappropriate thing and coming off funny to break the tension. His laughter was contagious.

Bucket is loved by many and will be missed by all.

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” Matthew 11:28

Tell someone. Tell your parents, your brother or sister, your teacher or school counselor, your pastor or youth minister that you are thinking about suicide. If a friend tells you that he or she is serious about suicide, then you need to tell someone who is responsible and can help. Please don’t let this cycle continue. Intervene on depression whenever you can. Mental illness is killing our children, our sons, our daughters, our parents and loved ones. Don’t be silent.

A memorial service will be held at Garden City Funeral Home, 1705 W. Broadway, Missoula at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 18. There will be a Celebration of Life, for all those who cannot attend the services, at the Eagles Lodge, 2320 South Ave., Missoula at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 20, this will be a “pot luck”, so bring your favorite comfort food to share and your best stories of Bucket to share with your friends and family.
