June C. Antos, 80, of Missoula, passed away Friday, Dec. 6, 2013, at St. Patrick Hospital of natural causes.
She was born June 13, 1933, in Illinois. She mostly enjoyed her family and friends, being outdoors, planting flowers, cooking for family and playing pinocle.
June C. Antos married Charles J. Antos on June 20, 1959. They lived in Illinois until 1971, when they relocated to DeBorgia. There they owned a tree nursery. Upon retirement they traveled and visited family. She moved to Missoula in 2008 after the loss of her husband and resided there until her death.
Preceded in death by her best friend and husband, Charlie; two daughters, Charlene Norris and Brenda Day; a son, Edgar Antos; two grandsons, Jeff Otzwirk and Cameron Antos; a sister; and four brothers.
Survivors include three sons, Tom (Linda) Otzwirk of Renton, Wash., Charles J. (June) Antos Jr. of Wickenburg, Ariz., and Mike (Lori) Antos of Grenora, N.D.; two daughters and their families, Deb (Jim) Tatkowski of Whitesboro, Texas, and Lynn (Dennis) Startin of Missoula; along with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, a sister and three brothers.
June touched many lives and was always involved in her community. She was fun, energetic, independent, giving and always willing to lend a hand. Mostly she was loving.
Visitation will be 3-6 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 12, at Livingston-Malletta and Geraghty Funeral Home. A memorial will be held at 4 p.m. Friday, Dec. 13, at the St. Regis Community Center.
