July 20, 1926-April 16, 2014 MISSOULA – Joyce Lindh Bradford, 87, of Missoula, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, April 16, 2014, of natural causes.
She was born in Great Falls to Oscar and Mary Lindh. She moved a lot in her childhood, but settled in Missoula where she met and married Walter Bradford. They made Missoula their home, raising a family of four.
She worked most of her adult life as a secretary for the U.S. Forest Service. She worked at Conrad's in the mall, as well as doing the books for Hair Now.
Joyce was very outgoing and busy when not working. For many years, her kids would go in on a membership to Larchmont Golf Course for Christmas, as she had a deep love for golf. She also enjoyed bowling and was part of a bowling league, making lifelong friendships along the way. An avid dancer, she also loved square and round dancing, as well as clogging.
She was a member of the Lighthouse Baptist Church and enjoyed Pastor Tom's sermons until she was unable to attend. A deep relationship with the Lord assures us all she's in a better place.
She was preceded in death by husband Walter and daughter Danielle. Survivors include her children, Barbara (Glen) Shaw, Walter (Linda) Bradford, and Jim (Debbie) Bradford; nine grandkids and seven great-grandkids.
A celebration of her life will be held Tuesday, April 29, at
1 p.m. at Lighthouse Baptist Church, with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials in Joyce's name to the Ronald McDonald House, 3003 Fort Missoula Road, Missoula, MT 59804. Arrangements are under the care of Cremation & Burial Society of the Rockies
